About Recreation Connections
Many people spend years learning, discussing, and thinking about how they want to grow, yet meaningful change often happens much more slowly than expected.
In many groups—whether in churches, classrooms, counseling settings, or leadership environments—conversations can become thoughtful and engaging, but they don’t always translate into real transformation. People may understand ideas intellectually, yet still struggle to apply them in their daily lives.
Recreation Connections was created to help leaders bridge that gap.
We train leaders who serve people to use intentional experiences and meaningful reflection to help individuals gain deeper insight, strengthen relationships, and apply what they learn to real-life situations.
When people have the opportunity to experience something with purpose and intent, reflect on what it reveals about themselves, and consider how it applies to their lives, learning often becomes more personal, memorable, and transformative.
Our work equips leaders to create environments where people can see themselves honestly, grow intentionally, and build stronger connections with God and others.
What We Believe
We believe people grow most effectively when they have opportunities to:
Experience meaningful challenges
Reflect honestly on what those experiences reveal
Connect insight to real-life application
Grow within supportive relationships
Experiential facilitation creates space for this kind of growth.
By combining intentional experiences with guided reflection, leaders can help people move beyond simply discussing ideas toward actually living them.
Our Commitment
Recreation Connections is committed to equipping leaders with practical tools and thoughtful frameworks that help people grow personally, relationally, and spiritually.
Our goal is not simply to provide information, but to help leaders cultivate environments where people can discover truth, apply insight, and experience meaningful transformation.

Our Mission
Recreation Connections trains leaders to facilitate transformational growth in the people they serve through intentional experiences and meaningful reflection.

Lifelong Growth
Growth is a lifelong process. We encourage leaders and participants alike to remain curious, reflective, and committed to continual learning.
Our Founder
Recreation Connections grew out of years of work in recreational therapy and experiential facilitation.
Through that work, one insight became increasingly clear: people could talk about their struggles and goals for years, but meaningful change often occurred when they experienced something that helped them see themselves in a new way.
When those experiences were combined with thoughtful reflection, people began to recognize patterns in how they thought, communicated, trusted, and responded to challenges. Those moments of insight often led to deeper understanding, healthier relationships, and practical changes in how they approached life.
Over time it became clear that these principles could benefit leaders far beyond therapy settings.
Pastors, small group leaders, coaches, educators, counselors, parents, and organizational leaders all work with people who are trying to grow, change, and develop stronger relationships. Yet many leaders have never been trained in how to intentionally guide experiences and reflection that facilitate that kind of growth.
Recreation Connections exists to help fill that gap.
By training leaders to facilitate intentional experiences and meaningful reflection, we help them create environments where insight becomes action and learning leads to lasting change.
